Why You Are Not Losing Belly Fat

 lose weight with hypnosis

If you are like most people with a weight problem, you already know the answer. (Consuming more calories than you burn).

And you probably know exactly what you have to do in order to lose it.  Am I right? You probably have multiple books that all work.  Then why aren’t you doing it?

Most people will tell you that all you need is more, ”will power”.

I am here to tell you that they couldn’t be more wrong!

Here is why…

According to the latest research*, ”will power” is a limited resource.  When you ”will” yourself to stay away from bad foods, it takes away your ability to concentrate on even the simplest of day to day activities.

For example, when subjects were told not to eat chocolate chip cookies, their persistence in puzzle solving deteriorated. And when they were told to suppress an emotional reaction to a movie, they had problems solving a simple anagram.

In short, any act of suppression is virtually unsustainable…

This is why once you start having to think about other stuff, it becomes almost impossible for you to stay away from the cookies, the burgers, the tacos, the beer, the chips, and the soda.

Even worse, whatever habits you have developed around eating lie deep in your unconscious mind. This dictates your ”default” eating choices, and any changes to this using ”will power” are met with massive resistance.

And this is a battle you don’t want to fight, because the unconscious mind always wins.

So if you want to get trim, you have to change your unconscious ”default” eating choices. It is the only real way to get results that stick – and it is a whole lot easier…

How do you work with the unconscious mind, you ask?

Sometimes repetition works, and establishing rituals one at a time can help…

But the only method that is validated by current science and mainstream organizations like The American Medical Association is called medical hypnosis.

Hypnosis is basically the study of creating unconscious changes. Over 80 years of clinical research have demonstrated that with the aid of hypnosis, people are able to have control where they had none before.

Get this; at the University of Iowa they are doing MRI studies where you actually see the brain shutting off feelings of pain in the brain. . . all under hypnosis.

If hypnosis can teach you to block pain, it certainly can help you change your eating habits.

But make sure you get the real thing. You don’t want help from a ”stage hypnotist” – you want to find someone with a proven clinical track record. And finding somebody in person with a proven track record for weight loss is extremely difficult.

This is why it is sometimes better to find a home-use program. And the program with the best track record in the industry was created by Dr. Roberta Temes (author of a hypnosis textbook used in medical schools).

Over 50,000 people have now used this program, and the satisfaction rate is 92%.

This means that over 9 out of 10 people are able to change their eating behaviors and get the slim body they deserve using her hypnosis sessions.

The publisher provides you with a year to try the program, and they even let you sample it for 28 days by just paying shipping. So if you struggle with, ”will power” – then this program is truly a, ”no brainer”.

If you are about to give up – give hypnosis another try.

P.S. Here are a couple of actual testimonials from people that have tried this product…

”I am now down 20 pounds and still have not had any
problems with stress eating (my lifetime habit is to overeat).
I am into a size 16 from a 20/22 and people are finally beginning
to notice. I personally thank you for your program even though I don’t
understand how it works. I amstarting to like who I see in the mirror.”

”I had an addiction to sugar and my weight problems were so severe
I was thinking of bypass surgery. I tried hypnosis programs in the past.
Some programs made me tense and uncomfortable; the power of others seemed
to fade away. Within the first week I was getting obvious results. Since
I started the program I’ve lost 30 pounds and I keep dropping them.
My addiction to sugar is pretty much gone and decisions to turn down foods
 are easy.”

Kellogg’s All Bran Cereal Bars

July 14, 2010 by

Recently I was in a local grocery store and they were offering samples of Kellogg’s All-Bran Bars – these were small 30g samples in various flavours, I had picked Honey Nut Flavour.  If you’re like most adults you know you’re probably not getting enough fibre in your diet – but have you tried cereals that are high in fibre?  It’s like eating cardboard!  Yeeeech – but in trying to maintain a healthy diet, fibre is a must.  On the cereal side, two of my favourites are Kellogg’s brands and these are either the All-Bran Buds or the All-Bran Original Cereal.  I also like All-Bran Bran Flakes but now I can add another item to the list, also by Kellogg’s and that’s the All-Bran Breakfast (or Cereal) Bars.

One 30g pouch is 130 calories, of which there is 5g of fat, 4g of fibre and 9g of sugar.  Not bad considering you’d get about the same from some adult cereals.  The sample bar I had also contained 1.5g of saturated fats, 5mg of cholesterol and 120mg of sodium.  The 4g of sugar was part of the 21g of carbohydrates in the bar with 8g coming from starch and 2g from protein.

As you may, or may not know when you read the ingredients on a package they are typically listed in order from most of that item to least – this product is no different.  The first ingredient is wheat flour, followed by sugar, cereal and salt.

The taste of the bars is great, and there was no after-taste either.  The one thing that I’ve found with may similar products is the after-taste, and that normally turns me off of them.  But these cereal bars are really tasty – so good that you won’t even realize that you’re eating fibre.

I’m sure these bars are nothing new, but this is the first time I had tried something like this.  I normally stay away from cereal bars because they’re typically high in fat and sugar – something that I don’t need and I’m sure you don’t if you’re trying to loose weight.

From Kellogg’s website: A great tasting, easy way to get fibre on the go, All-Bran Honey Nut flavour bars are high in fibre and provide 16% of the recommended daily fibre.

These also make a great mid-morning, or afternoon snack and may be a good alternative to the same-old, same-old everyday.

If you want something filling – you will not find it here or with most cereal bars.  The idea is to give you enough to keep your body going until a snack later in the morning or lunch in the afternoon.  What you may want to do is add some yogurt to the mix to help you feel full.  I tend to have something like this when I’m in a rush, but will follow it with a cup or three of tea (decaf with skim milk and no sugar).

About Treadmills

Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Trying To Loose Weight – The Little Things Do Matter

July 8, 2010 by

You know my story – I am trying to loose weight and unfortunatley the lats few months haven’t been good.  Busier at work, plus an increase in after-work events that keep me at a computer for 3-5 additional hours is taking it’s toll on the bottom line – meaning, my waist.  So I’ve been doing what I can to minimize the damage and have been looking at the little things – you know, the things you figure will not make a difference but in fact they do:

  • No sugar in my tea.  I drink 3-5 cups of decaf tea per day, and was adding 1-2tbsp of sugar.  Over the course of the week, that is a lot of sugar that is not needed.  It’s not adding anything, other than calories.
  • No Timbits or donuts.  My kid loves donuts, and whenever we went out I’d get a craving and would buy a couple of Timbits (you know, donut holes) or a donut.  No more.
  • No chocolate.  I don’t have a sweet tooth but occasionally will indulge.  I’ve stopped indulging.
  • No junk food.  Chips are my weakness, but I’ve switched to popcorn WITHOUT the butter.

By themselves each indulgence may not seem like a lot – but over the course of a week, or a month they add up and could add 1-2 lbs to your body when you don’t really need to add but subtract!

Simple steps will help you loose weight and when combined with exercise, you will see noticible differences.
